I will provide continuous mental and emotional support throughout the pregnancy, by being a comforting presence and offering encouragement and reassurance to both the you and your partner, helping to reduce stress and anxiety during this experience.
I am on-call for support whenever you need it. I will employ various techniques such as massage, breathing exercises, and positioning to help manage discomfort and aid in progression of labor. I will provide support and guidance to the birth partner helping them to also feel confident in the birth process.
I will provide evidence-based information about labor and childbirth to help you make informed decisions about your care. I will be able to explain medical procedures and interventions, as well as their potential risks and benefits. I will remind you when it is time to speak up and advocate for yourself. I can connect you with local resources, support groups, and services that can further assist during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
